On the Tongariro Hiking Tour we stay in a 3-star hikers and skiers lodge in the heart of National Park Village with spectacular views of the Tongariro volcanic massif. National Park Village is known for outdoor adventure – it’s ideally located for summer hiking, winter skiing and year-round mountain biking.
What Are The Rooms Like?
Rooms are twin share or double with compact, ensuite bathrooms. Private room upgrades (single supplement) are available on request for an additional fee of $300 NZD (that’s for the whole trip, not per night!) Just select this option in the online booking form and our reservations team will do the rest!
Power, Wi-fi & Mobile Phone Coverage
National Park Village is well connected with power, wi-fi and mobile phone coverage. Our accommodation has Fibre Max (Ultrafast Broadband) supplied by Spark. You’ll have free, unlimited wi-fi in your room We recommend downloading any important files to your devices before you arrive as during peak times service can sometimes be slower.
Heating & Cooling
Each room has a portable, electric space heater. There is no air-conditioning, but owing to the buildings design and construction, this is rarely needed.
On-Site Hot Tubs
There are 2 outdoor hot tubs for guest use. This is complimentary, there is no charge. They are maintained daily and the water is changed weekly.
