If someone in your group is not a keen walker, it’s best they sit this one out. The nature of this North Island Great Walk track and access to this remote environment makes it very difficult to accommodate non-walkers. It would be a good idea to have them stay in National Park Village or Whakapapa Village instead and perhaps meet you at the end of the walk.
