Authentic, Small-Group Travel
We like to keep our groups small and intimate so that we can offer authentic, small-group travel. We can have anywhere between 6 and 15 walkers on a standard departure, it varies from tour to tour, as well as the time of travel. Here at Walking Legends we do whatever we can to make sure our tours go ahead. We review our group numbers frequently, so if a group size looks like it’s not going to reach a viable size, we’ll contact you as soon as we can to help choose the next best departure date. We can proceed with a group size that doesn’t meet our usual minimum, but a small group surcharge may apply.
Can You Cater For Large Groups?
On the Great Barrier Island Escape guided walk we can host large groups. The maximum capacity of our accommodation is between 8 and 20 guests, depending on how many rooms are shared. Do You Offer Private Departures?
Yes, we offer private departures. If you’d like to have a date set aside for your party that isn’t shared with walkers that you don’t know, we can help with that. The Great Barrier Island Escape is our most popular North Island guided walking holiday, so it does pay to get in touch with us 9 to 12 months in advance to get a great, private date locked in.
