On the Tongariro Northern Circuit Great Walk, we require a minimum group size of 6 walkers to confirm a departure. Please contact our friendly reservations team to find out which departures have reached minimum numbers and are confirmed to depart. We ask a deposit of $300 NZD at the time of booking, we won’t take full payment of your walk balance until we have a confirmed group of 6.
If a group size reduces below 6 walkers, we’ll contact you around 30 days before departure to help you choose the next best departure date.
Our maximum group size varies depending on the availability of DoC hut beds and the availability of our guiding team. We can cater for groups of up to 13 walkers, provided we can secure enough space in the huts on your preferred dates.
For maximum success, gather together a group of hiking friends or family and tackle this Great Walk together. Our team can work with you to find a range of suitable dates that work in well with your commitments.
